THIS HAS TO BE ONE OF MY ALL TIME FAVORITE CAKES THAT I HAVE EVER MADE. THIS BIRTHDAY BOY HAD SAVED A PUPPY FROM THE HUMANE SOCIETY SO FOR HIS BIRTHDAY HE WANTED THE CAKE TO LOOK LIKE HIS PUPPY.

This is an Alabama Crimson Tide Cake (Roll Tide-YEAH!) that I did for my nephew's 15th Birthday. It is 3 tiers of cake with BC icing and the houndstooth is printed on fondant. The elephants, "15", and Happy Birthday are all chocolate and the "A" on top is fondant. The bottom tier of the stand is a 22" round cake dummy, the middle is a 20" diameter double-layer piece of plywood about 1 1/2" thick-screwed together and the top layer of stand is a single 3/4" piece of plywood that is 16" diameter.
